Food, service, epic. Wish there were more seats...makes it a to go place more than a spot you wanna hang for lunch.
Great food, great customer service, and very happy it's here! The pork belly is so good! I'm not usually a fan of onions, but it really brings together all of the flavors of a gyro... and adds a bit of crunch. So keep the onions! I love that there are fries in the gyro! One time I got a gyro bowl and there was a bit too much of the yogurt... but it was still very good! It can get a bit crowded and busy so there's a bit of a mess left at tables, but it's understandable. Would be nice if people picked up after themselves.... read more
Delicious food! It's nice to finally have something different in Novato. I've been here about 4 times now and it keeps getting better!
Don't let the long lines scare you - the lines are long because the food is great and reasonably priced. The workers here know how to pump out the orders fast. The lamb is delicious, the fries perfectly done, the hummus and pita are wonderful. Trust me - the line was out the door and in 12 minutes I was walking back to my car with my food. Great location - plenty of parking - go welcome them to the neighborhood!
ravel treat Tuesday - Folks in the north San Francisco Bay don't have to travel far for today's treat. This past weekend we ventured to the Vintage Oaks in Shopping Center in Novato to check out a new eatery, Nick the Greek. I love Greek food when I'm able to find it, and this is a good one!. I had the Beef and Lamb Gyro with a side of Fries. I'm particular about my Gyros - having had them all over the world (not yet in Greece, however). At the risk of being boastful, I even make my own and they're darn good. This was... read more
I was skeptical, especially after enjoying souvlaki and gyros in Greece recently, however, for a "fast casual" dining format, Nick's really nailed it. The food tastes authentic (including chicken gyros with the mild mustard sauce that's popular in Athens), and with solid Greek fries. More to try, but keep it up Nick!
If I could give it lower than 1 star I would have. The salad that came with my gyro plate was smelling rotten, so clearly they don't use fresh ingredients but to use veggies that smell rotten is just negligence. I called back to complain and the person on the phone was indifferent. So in short rotten food and bad customer service.

Hi Nishant. Sorry you had a bad experience but I’d love to ask a few more questions. Would you mind DM’ing me so I can get a few more details as some of your comments don’t reflect what many have said about our food.
I ordered the Gyro Bowl, ingredients stated it came w choice of meat, rice, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, tzatziki, spicy yoghurt paprika and vinaigrette. What I got was mainly rice, 3 1/2 cherry tomato pieces on their way out, 3 1/2 pieces of cucumber, a barely a handful of romaine, a whole bunch of tasty rice and a substantial amount of tasty chicken. One sauce, no feta a couple bits of onion. Really a rice and chicken mix. Not at all a salad as advertised.

Oh no Ellen! Seems like we dropped the ball on your order. Would you mind letting me know when you placed the order so I could correct with the staff?
We generally love Nick the Greek and I buy takeout from them regularly. Today I was getting off of work and wanted to feed three, 10- year old boys at my home so I bought 3 kids plates. I wondered why the bag was so light, but when I go home I notice the portions were barely enough to feed a 4 year old. I am not sure if it is a new manager or chef but I was shocked to see how little meat and rice was given. And it wasn't super cheap as it was still $30, so I definitely expected more. If this is a new change across all branch... read more
