I always have a hard time properly rating a chain like this. The bottom line is I keep going back. Their food is consistent and good. I'm partial to the gyro but you can't really go wrong. Their fries could be better, but that is a matter of taste I suppose. Do get fries in your wrap, and do consider getting a dessert, I love the beignets.

Stopped in from Oakland looking for a quick lunch. Was delighted to see that the prices are low and the portions are large! This is more of a fast food restaurant, but think more Chipotle than McDonald's. The food is flavorful and really nicely done. Great for a fast, but overall healthy lunch. Ordered the Gyro Plate. So big that I unpacked my meal and split into two dishes for me and my husband. The location is great - lots of other shops in the same square. Quick tip: stop next door to the bakery for a tasty dessert.

Went for a weekday lunch just before noon Counter service was great and food arrived in under 5 minutes. Plenty of seating. I ordered the beef/lamb gyro and the baklava. The gyro meat was meh, nothing really flavorful (it seemed like there was a lot of filler, a paste-like translucent substance with minuscule flecks of unidentifiable meat in it). I really liked the pita bread, it was delicious, had a thickness to it, kinda reminded me of a chalupa! Liked the tomato but would have appreciated more than two wedges. Props ... read more

We were walking around the shopping center and saw this location. Since it was President's day and everywhere else was so busy we walked around to find a place to have lunch where it wasn't too busy and saw this spot. The place is nicely done and contemporary. The staff was so nice and welcoming! Definitely 5 stars for that! Food was delish too!

This place will be in my top 3 quick go to meals to have from now on! It's super clean eating and the portions are huge! I got the beef and lamb gyro plate and it was filled to the top of the box, almost busting out! It was loaded with meat, and I subbed the rice for the Greek salad that consisted of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, feta cheese, and olives. I was digging through everything in the box and it seemed bottomless. I also got an additional side order of chicken gyro and that too was loaded to the brim. Well worth the ... read more

So glad to have Nick the Greek in Castro Valley, finally. Now we have more options. Too many Asian restaurants that are not up to par. We have BBQ, sandwich shops, and if course many junkie fast food. Unfortunately, Castro Valley has always had too many restaurants, but Nick the Greek is welcome Delicious food, always fresh and the employees are friendly. I make it my go to place for lunch.

Ordered in dinner from Nick the Greek tonight and have zero regrets. The gryo, humus and tzatziki sauce were all really good. The favor on the Greek fries was good, wish they were a bit crispier. The baklava was amazing!
