THE STORY The idea was born in 2012 after visiting the birth place of the gyro, Greece, on the founders annual trip to their hometown village. Wondering why there were no decent gyros or souvlakia in California, we decided to form our own modern souvlaki/gyro house. The three cousins Nick, Nick and Nick, returned home to open what else? When the Greek festival sells out of food, and you have a craving, you head to Nick the Greek. Happy we did. We were told that staffing was light and there might be a wait. We appreciated the heads up. Food came quickly. My chicken souvlaki plate was large with two generous skewers of chicken, fries, tzatziki and pita. I ordered a side salad. What an outstanding grand opening!!! We have been to Greece & Nicks's falafel pita & veggie pita were so delicious, fresh & tasty. The fries were excellent...didn't need to add salt! The amount of food was very generous!!!! You will not regret eating here.

This place is always busy n it makes sense. The food is excellent and the ambiance is sweeeet. My beef gyro bowl was amazing. This is a district manager approved spot.

My partner and I checked out Nick the Greek at their grand opening where they were offering lunch on them. We both ordered chicken gyros and they were delicious! I do wish the Greek fries had more feta on them and were melted, if I were to order the fries again I would just order them plain. We will be back!

So happy when we heard they were opening a new location and stopped by during their soft opening! The new build was super nice and clean, happy friendly staff ready to help us with our menu choices! We chose beef/lamb gyro, veggie gyro, baklava and of course the frozen Greek yogurt. Hot & delicious food with every bite and the desserts were absolutely perfect:)

Open for just under 2 weeks, this quick service Greek/Mediterranean restaurant is a welcome addition to the growing Reno market. Gyro is spot on and loaded with tasty ingredients. Not a fan of the fries in my gyro, but the beef/lamb, tomatoes, onions and tzatziki sauce are spot on. Hummus served with grilled pita bread is fresh and delicious. Generous portion to serve. So Delicious! Had a beef/lamb Gyro sandwich and Greek fries and it was one of the best I've ever had. The service was nice and fast. The place is super new and clean. I'm sure this pace will be packed all the time because it's Yummy!
