THE STORY The idea was born in 2012 after visiting the birth place of the gyro, Greece, on the founders annual trip to their hometown village. Went there Tuesday after seeing about it on the news. Place was very busy. Many people waiting to order but the girl taking orders was slow. I wanted a beef/lamb gyro with cucumber instead of fries which I asked for on the side. She charged me .50 for the cucumber and omitted the fries. The gyro was great anyways.

I'm so glad to have a good Greek place in Reno! I've been to visit twice already and I have to say that I love it. I tried several things on the menu. Everything was flavorful and fresh. My favorites were the fries, beef/lamb gyro and the frozen yogurt with the baklava and honey. The sauces are all great, but my favorite is the yogurt one. I could eat anything dipped in that! We were lucky enough to make it into the free grand opening lunch. The service was amazing considering they had been working like crazy since 11 o'clock and we were there at 2:20. All of us enjoyed our food tremendously and can't wait to go back.

I tried this along with my daughter today. They offered free lunch for their grand opening. My daughter and I are already talking about coming back for dinner. My favorite thing was actually the frozen yogurt which was actually Greek frozen yogurt. I'm not a usual froyo fan but I can definitely see myself eating a pint of this. But what will put this over the top for me is when I try the Greek donuts. Couldn't get them this time because of the promo but we WILL be back

As a San Jose native, I couldn't contain my excitement when I learned they were opening a location in Reno. We went on Grand Opening Day which they promoted giving away free lunch for a couple hours. The line went super fast and the time we received our food wasn't long either. Gyro Bowl with pork belly - the fresh ingredients ever. The rice was fluffy and flavorful and the veggies help cut the grease from the pork belly which balanced the meal for me, but I still feel like something was missing in this dish. Got the chicken kabob which was disappointed to see it was mostly dark chicken which was grisly and chewy. The hummus was really good and tasted fresh. I also got the Greek salad which wasn't too bad but the description said it came with a dressing although I didn't taste that so it was a little bland.

I decided to stop in before the Grand opening and all I can say is WOW!! I had their Nick's fries with the lamb/beef gyro to go . It smelled so good I couldn't resist myself I had to eat some in the car. Got home and had enough to share with the hubby. Only recommendation is it'd be nice if it had a bit more sauce next time with a side of tzatziki sauce. I'd love to try their gyros, salads, bowls and Loukamades for dessert next visit. We had the pleasure of dining in at the new restaurant and we brought our appetite! We ordered the beef/lamb gyro, pork souvlaki, falafel, beefteki bowl, Nick fries with chicken and to finish it off Greek froyo with baklava. My favorites were the Nick fries and beef/lamb gyro.
