One of our favorite places on peninsula. Love the food and atmosphere. Always on time and always delicious! Been going there for mo this and they've never failed us. Thanks and keep going!

I love Greek food & we were blown away by this place. We stopped in this past Thursday for lunch & they have outdoor dining. The guy is very nice & knows his regulars. The beef/lamb giro is the best with tender marinaded beef & lamb, cucumber, tomatos, onions, & sesziki sauce in a fresh pita. My mother enjoyed her chicken giro bowl. We love locamadas & eagerly ordered two orders; they were wonderful crisp & cakey with a generous amount of honey & nuts. I will definitely be back to try more. This place is delicious you get large portions so you are definitely paying for what you get. I highly recommend my favorite so far Is the beef and lamp gyro with the Greek fries. Delicious
This review is based upon 6-7 visits to this San Carlos location. All these visits are during Covid 19. We have been to other Nick the Greek locations so we are familiar with the menu and food. We really like this San Carlos location. The quality of food and service is great. If you enjoy Greek food then you need to try Nick the Greek. We look forward when Covid is over and we can enjoy it some more. I will also note during Covid the workers displayed precautions like wearing masks and wiping down tables after every use.
We keep coming back for take-out lunches because the granddaughters love Nick's. I think the food is fine but nothing special, and definitely a little overpriced. Some of the staff is more friendly than others, and they always seem to have trouble keeping up with the large crowd picking up take-out orders. (Interesting to see that the reviews tend to focus on this being a favorite restaurant of little kids--not so much for grown-ups.)
I love nick the Greek... when they follow orders. I ordered a burger with lettuce, extra feta, and extra sauce. The sauce was nonexistent. The lettuce was wilted and looked depressed. And the feta? NONEXISTENT!!! Otherwise it was really good. Too bad that's all I ordered.
Ordered a steak pita for my son. It came with the skewer still in the meat hidden in the pita (1 star kitchen). When I told the front, they responded like this is typical, "Oh it's just the skewer (1 star service)." After she saw me taking a picture of the skewer, she went to talk to the kitchen. Then she came up and apologized and told me the kitchen said they could remake it or give me a refund (4 stars response after the fact), but at this point my son ate half of it and I already have my mind made up to give a negative... read more
Food is always good. Unfortunately I got the salad bowl my bowl had barely any meat or salad.
