Very good Gyros, the spicy yogurt was an extra charge it's very good but might be too pricey. 5/5 food

This place is bad, by bad I mean I'm gonna be coming here all the time to eat!!! Everything came out promptly considering it being a new restaurant, the line got knocked down quick, this might be the next place I'll go to for my lunch break, give it a try if you like gyros and falafels

Yes! Nick the Greek is finally open here in Castro valley! Finally a restaurant I can be excited about here. I use to enjoy Nick the Greek when we use to live downtown San Jose! Today I saw a post online that they are finally open, as we door dashed dinner from Nick the Greek! Man those door dash sur charges are hella high these days! But totally worth it. I orders the Beef/Lamb gyro pita and boy did it hit the spot! It was perfect! I don't think I have had such a delicious Nick the Greek! Everything was portioned right a... read more

Yay, they are finally open! Welcome to Castro Valley - nice, new corner spot in the Castro Village shopping center. Food smells delicious! Lots of excited customers in line! The gyro plate was good. Meat was fresh, thinly sliced . Fries were a little soggy but good herb flavor. Pita was good but little oily. The side salad was pretty fresh. Overall decent portion. Nice staff and clean environment! We will be back!

This is the first time I've ever tried Nick the Greek. Located in Castro Valley Village. Grand opening today and they were so incredibly generous by giving a complimentary meal with drink! I was impressed by how well they handled the lines. After placing the order, food was prepared in about 10 mins even though there were a lot of customers, so you didn't have to wait long. Got the Chicken Souvlaki Plate. Chicken skewer was tender and fresh. The pita was surprisingly delicious!! The texture is awesome w both the softness o... read more

New restaurant in town baby! Food was amazing. A good variety of tastes: Beef/Lamb gyro - Great meat portions and taste. Good sauce. Fries added texture. Pork Souvlaki plate - SO TENDER. What magic! It's so tender and perfectly charred, I almost thought it was beef! Greek Fries - excellent portions topped with feta. What a combo!! Dip it in the white sauce. Oh my, this is so elevated, can this even be fast food?? Avgolemono Soup - lemon orzo soup. So refreshing. Unique. Greek Salad - Feta, kalamata olives. A good fre... read more

Very rude female cashier! Asked her three times "Can I also order some yogurt sauce?", and she said the gyro comes with mustard sauce. (Which I knew) Then I looked down and saw a cooler with two types of yogurt sauce and explained that I'd like one of those. Bad attitude and seemed like she was not listening. Chose not to eat there as wouldn't trust them with my food with that kind of attitude.

The CV Nick the Greek used to be a decent option--nothing amazing, but a reliable place to grab a quick meal. Unfortunately, my last couple of visits have pretty much convinced me not to go back. The customer service has really slipped. The staff feels unwelcoming, and the overall vibe is like you're bothering them just by ordering. The food quality has dropped, too. I paid about $20 for a salad that honestly looked and tasted like a $5 bagged grocery store salad. On a visit before that, they sent out pita with my hummus th... read more

Worst possible experience ever!!! If I could give negative stars, I would. Not only was my mobile order 15 minutes late - I was standing in the restaurant waiting for it, and at 10-minutes-late mark, asked about the order and was told they're "cooking the chicken" and asked whether I "wanted my chicken raw" - when I got home 10 minutes later and opened the order, I found - not warm, not even lukewarm - but right out cold chicken skewers, cold steak skewer, and cold greek fries. This is not ok, I want my money back!!!
