Finally a decent option for food in Castro valley. Since moving from SJ I so desperately missed all the food options. Nick the Greek is a healthy, fast, delicious option for the nights we don't feel like cooking. They have many protein options and served in a variety of ways. I personally get the Greek salad with gyro meat. They have chicken and beef/lamb gyro meat. I recently had the chicken souvlaki plate and it was as delicious as I remember. This nick the Greek is way better than the one in Union city. I hope it stay... read more

I've been waiting for this location to open. It was worth the wait. We stopped in yesterday to grab some take out for dinner. Ordering at the counter was easy and the employee helping us was friendly. Our food was ready in less than 10 minutes and everything was packaged nicely. We came home with one plate (beef/lamb, pita, rice, and side salad) and a falafel bowl. Everything was great. The food was fresh, well seasoned and tasted great. My only suggestion would be to give the salad dressing a little more flavor. I ... read more

Someone we knew had been to the Union City Nick The Greek restaurant and was really excited that one was opening in Castro Valley. So I made a point to check it out. I ordered a combo lamb/beef giro w/ drink and a side salad to eat there. I hate having the first experience be a takeout order because it never does the food justice. 5 minutes later the food came out and I started digging in. I went after the giro first as I did not want to lose too much heat. The pita was soft, warm and very fresh with a great taste. Filled wi... read more

Food was delicious and place was clean! But it was a bit loud and combos don't come with a drink? Lunch was 50$.

Alright so here me out. I didn't have a "bad" experience but the cost for what you get? Eh. Started off with walking into a loud music environment. Was greeted by a mumbling teenager taking my order which normally I'm extremely gracious but in the time of masks volume matters. I got a chicken falafel combo that doesn't come with a drink only a salad. My wife got a two meat plate. We shared the garlic fries. Cost us $50. Food was pretty tasty but we felt a bit robbed. Not sure if I'd go back knowing there is more affordable o... read more

This place is bad, by bad I mean I'm gonna be coming here all the time to eat!!! Everything came out promptly considering it being a new restaurant, the line got knocked down quick, this might be the next place I'll go to for my lunch break, give it a try if you like gyros and falafels

Yes! Nick the Greek is finally open here in Castro valley! Finally a restaurant I can be excited about here. I use to enjoy Nick the Greek when we use to live downtown San Jose! Today I saw a post online that they are finally open, as we door dashed dinner from Nick the Greek! Man those door dash sur charges are hella high these days! But totally worth it. I orders the Beef/Lamb gyro pita and boy did it hit the spot! It was perfect! I don't think I have had such a delicious Nick the Greek! Everything was portioned right a... read more

Yay, they are finally open! Welcome to Castro Valley - nice, new corner spot in the Castro Village shopping center. Food smells delicious! Lots of excited customers in line! The gyro plate was good. Meat was fresh, thinly sliced . Fries were a little soggy but good herb flavor. Pita was good but little oily. The side salad was pretty fresh. Overall decent portion. Nice staff and clean environment! We will be back!
