Ordered the chicken gyro pita but some of the chicken was raw inside. Told me a specific time to pick it up but wasnt ready and had to wait 20 inhes. The cooks are Mexicans and I prefer a true Greek restaurant with greek cooks..
Super overpriced, they give very little meat, and way too salty. You are much better off going to cava which gives you way more meat and it's cheaper.
Came here a lot in the beginning, I love mediterranean food and wanted this place to be amazing. The unfortunate reality is that this place falls victim to the same shortcomings that are ravaging all of Californian gastronomy, and that is the fact that they dont care. Nobody that works this type of job cares about what they do anymore. The result is product and service that are lackluster. Bland food, every order has mistakes to it, the teenagers behind the counter are overwhelmed.
Walked in and it was very busy. On the counter right of the pay station was a very large tray with about 50 condiment cups uncovered sitting out in the open. Anyone walking up to pick up their order or pay comes in very close proximity of these condiment cups. A small child would be breathing all over them. First impressions are everything. Directly across was an almost empty Starbucks Drink sitting on the stainless steel counter right next to the food pass window. and behind that was the kitchen work area. I don't ... read more
First let me say, I hate writing a bad review, especially for a local restaurant, unless someone has been rude or something went terribly wrong, but I feel I had to say something. After hearing people say such great things on FB about Nick the Greek in San Clemente, I couldn't wait to try it. I stopped off today to grab some food to go... .2 Gyros, and an order of Greek fries. $42 later ( which given the cost of everything today wasn't shocking in itself) the food came out in less than 5 minutes, perhaps that should have bee... read more
First time eating at Nick The Greek ("NTG"). While I I was initially excited to try their food, my excitement was short lived. Ordered chicken souvlaki with rice and side salad. Visually, it was obvious the chicken skewers were previously frozen (char marks on one side only, freezer burn). Flavor was non-existent - bland would be a compliment. The counter where orders are placed is so close to the front door, 3 person line is backed out the door. Inside was a kluge, including an empty table near the entrance, no chairs, jus... read more
Ughhh I really wanted to like this place. I work in the same center and heard mixed reviews but I always like to make my own judgement. We ordered from uber eats and sometimes delivery/food is questionable. Delivery was on point and everything came as ordered. We ordered four bowls. 3 chicken souvlaki, no rice and all the things. One steak with just steak and French fries for my teenager. She said fries were ok but loved the steak, unfortunately there were only 4 pieces the size of my thumb. Had to make her more food and pai... read more
Why no soup?? You had soup now you don't...why did you get rid of it?? I know a few people who were so excited about the avgolemono soup!! Bring it back!! Please
We love greek food and hopeful this would be a regular stop for us. I ordered the gyro plate and received a plate of undercook pork belly gyro. Other dish was chicken souvlaki (out of pork souvlaki) with fries, received 2 skewers of chicken cooked previously and left on the grill. Dry and cold. No fries and rice we didn't want. Kitchen was full of teens goofing around without supervision or care for the food & clients. Don't think they will be around for long.
