It's fast (lighting fast - my order was ready in 5 minutes after ordering on my phone) and convenient but the quality is mediocre. The falafel is dry, the chicken is dry, and the fries are soggy. WARNING: the default sauce for a chicken shawarma wrap is HONEY MUSTARD. This sauce is a disgusting, sickly-sweet, bland pile of goop, and makes zero sense on Greek/Middle Eastern food. They added so much that the pita bread in my wrap turned to mush. Vile.
Parking sucks but my order is always delicious and ready when I get there. Very consistent.
We need more Mediterranean restaurants and Nick The Greek is a very flavorful taste in shawarma and others. We had the chicken bowl and meat bowls, hamburger (no cheese!) fries and good yogurt with honey and another with baklava - service was quick when we picked up. Sorry no pictures! We just dived in and never looked up!
Real solid option for a chain restaurant. Staff was friendly, food came out quickly and the restaurant was nice and new.
This review is for a delivery order. I ordered the falafel gyro, chicken skewer, rice, and an iced tea. The gyro is big and full but the falafel was pretty dry. The chicken skewer was a hit! I would definitely order the entree version next time. The rice was flavorful and fluffy. The iced tea was unsweetened which I didn't know and that was maybe the "worst" part of the experience. Overall, would I come back? Absolutely Would I recommend to a friend? Sure
I used to complain to my friends that San Leandro is in the middle of a "kebab" desert, where the closest gyro/doner kebab resturaunt was a minumum a 30 minute drive in any direction. Having a place like Nick's open up in my hometown is a cure for my gyro desperation. Overall this is location is clean, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time and it was tasty. It is not the best gyro I have ever had, but it did not need to be. I plan to mix it into my regular lunch rotation.
The food was on point, very satisfying. Will be going back! Enjoyed the Nick Fries!! Was given large portions:) enough for 2-3 people to enjoy!! The service was very accommodating & they were so polite.
Great food great prices. Solid choice for Greek food. I reserve 5 star for food that really blows my socks off. So the fact that I am not ranking a 5 star is no knock on them.
The good: Friendly and fast service, pita for my chicken pita souvlaki was good and fresh, chicken tasted like good quality and was nice and tender albeit underseasoned. The rest: Not impressed. I was glad I told them to skip the fries because apparently they put them IN the sandwich? So, instead of salting the chicken you get the salt from soggy fries?? And the mustard sauce was awful. It tasted like mustard mixed with mayo, slathered on so I tasted nothing but mustard. If I went back I'd see if I could get tzadziki on it i... read more
