I found Nick the Greek in 2023 and I keep coming back. It's my casual dining restaurant of choice to bring friends to. So when we were visiting people for the holidays, we took them to Nick's. The cashier was so friendly! The food was great as I've come to expect from each location I've visited. I love the rice and usually get the souvlaki plate. This location in SLO also has a tap wall of beer, ciders, and kombucha. They have small bar stool style patio seating that looks out onto the street.

Walked in on a whim and it was such a great experience. Classic gyros that are just somehow better than everywhere else I've gone. The cashier was incredibly sweet (like a fun nice server at a sit down restaurant) gave us suggestions and was just a gem of a human. Give the Greek fries a try as the side !

Food - Greek food. We were passing by this place and I took a peek as I wanted the Greek Gyro similar to what I had in Greece, the pork variant and not the most common here in the US, which is lamb or lamb and beef mix. So I saw that they had the pork gyro so I decided to buy one. It was decent but they also stuffed it with fries. It was good but not Greece good. Service - twas a good experience with service. Ambiance - good sized place with some self-serve booze stations. Am not a boozer so I didn't have any. V... read more

We got excited when we saw pork belly in the menu. We've had pork belly in a Greek eatery or in a gyro first in our trip to Greece a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. We ate it every chance we got when we were there. And so we ordered the pork belly gyro here. It wasn't bad but was expecting it to be as flavorful as the ones in Greece. So it was a bit of a let down. Can't say I'm tasting the pork belly. Whatever flavor it has is being drowned by the sauce. Service was good. Our order came out pretty quickly like a t... read more

It's Nick the Greek! Consistent and good at every location I've been to. I typically get a gyro, but sometimes I'll do plates and Falafels. It's all good.

Love nick the Greek. Bomb food and great customer service. The fries with the feta and green onion and garlic is so and the decor and ambiance is fun and bright! Will always come here when I get the chance

Tried this place in downtown SLO! I came right when it opened at 11 am so there was no line. Ordered the beef/lamb bowl. There is plenty of seating in the restaurant. They served me the food really fast and honestly it looked so bomb. I recommend mixing all the ingredients together so it'll taste better! I liked the flavor of the yogurt with the lettuce, tomatoes and meat! My only problem was that the cucumber they served was ice cold which didn't go well with the dish. Other than that, the bowl was so good and I will come b... read more

I could eat here for breakfast, lunch, dinner and a midnight snack everyday of the week. Food is fast and delicious. The female manager with short brown hair and glasses is always on it. Great service & very knowledgeable. Great stop for a post bar hop meal as well. Open late, great options and decent prices. I don't even know what to recommend because I love it all. Serving sizes are fantastic. One bowl can last me three meals. The kids plate is the best bang for your buck! I also love the soup! Try everything on the menu -... read more

Solid 4. Not a bad place to get a quick lunch or even dinner. It gets busy with college students late in the evening, so you might stay in line. Food was as expected and arrived quickly. They share place with self-pour beer and wine which I found to be expensive IMO. 3 beers cost us $47, so be aware.
