My honest review of this place is based off of one visit 10 minutes prior to closing. I'm giving it 3 stars for a few reasons. Firstly, as soon as I walked in I was greeted respectfully. I asked what time they closed they said 10 minutes but it was fine and even asked if i wanted to eat in or take it to go. Excellent customer service experience off the rip. It was one of the only places open in the area at the time. It was clean. Food was quick. Now to the food. The fries were stole cold and just plain nasty. I ordered the... read more
I have went here several times and ever time I've received great service. Shout out to Jonathan for going the extra mile and being courteous to me every visit.
Ordered through door dash. Food was okay. The mustard sauce was interesting but it added a different flavor profile to the gyro.
I first tried Nick the Greek in Sacramento and I am so glad they've come to SF. Best gyros ever! I've tried so many gyros (pita bread, not lavash bread) in SF and I really think Nick the Greek's are the best. Reminds me of the quick to-go gyros you can order in Athens. Yes, it does come with a lot of tzatziki which I love, but if you'd like a dryer gyro, just specify that. The falafel and salad with the big hunk of feta are also delicious and authentic!
The beef gyro and fries were amazing, service was also amazing we sampled the yogurt aswell seats and tables were clean
Love this place, and depending on which place I'm closet to, we either stop by here (or Souvla) for takeout. My favorite is their chicken or veggie gyro--if it's the meat option, they really get a good char on that chicken (around the edges), so it's tender inside but crispy on the exterior, and it's a perfect amount of meat--not so much so that it'll all you see and becomes overwhelming (umm yes, it's a thing to be overwhelmed and yucked out with too much meat :-) and they wrap it nicely with other veggies, such as lettuce ... read more
food was absolutely delicious. Best greek food i've ever had. Service was fantastic; food came out quick and tasted amazing. Workers were friendly and the place was super clean. GO TRY IT!!!
Happy and polite staff. Good food. I was only going to get a gyro but the cashier upsold me a chicken skewer. It was delicious! Tender and tasty. I'm delighted to have found a Greek place in the neighborhood. We'll be back!
I was recently downtown, had a hankering for Greek food and gave Nick the Greek a try. Prices were on par w/everyone else. So I tried the Chicken Gyro. It was MASSIVE and very messy. There was so much going on w/all the lettuce, tomatoes and too much mustard sauce, the chicken got lost in all of that. In face I couldn't even distinguish the chicken flavor in all of this. The 5 french fries were kind of a joke, really. I may try it again and say "hold the mustard sauce" for the side. It was enough for 2 meals but required a ... read more
