Glad location in Danville, originally traveled to Dublin for my craving of quick greek food. Staff seems always happy and value is good for a sit down fast food that seems way fresher than other alternatives. Keep up the good work and thanks for coming to Danville.
We wanted to grab a quick lunch and decided to go to Nick the Greek. We ordered the Baklava, Chicken Souvlaki Pita, Souvlaki Plate, a beef/lamb gyro and fries. I'm a dessert first type of person and tried the baklava first. I felt like the baklava had too much sugar in it. I prefer if it were made with the lemon, rose water, a tiny bit of sugar, and honey. I really don't like it tasting too sweet with the added sugar because it overpowers the natural tastes. As for the beef/lamb gyro and the chicken souvlaki pita, they w... read more
Glad I tried this spot today. I've been to other Nick the Greek locations and always thought they were ok, but the new Danville location is great! The Greek fries were done perfectly -- the best I've had. The pita wrap on my gyro was soft, fresh and packed with delicious beef&lamb. The service was excellent as well. I look forward to coming back. Glad to say there's another good place to eat in the downtown.
Since our favorite Greek place in Walnut Creek closed we've been unsuccessfully searching for a new one and am happy to say we found it. Both hubby and I got the bowls, him beef/lamb and me chicken Souvlaki and were very happy with both. Lots of crunchy lettuce with rice and all the other stuff included and all delicious and portions of all items were generous. We also got a side of hummus and pita that was so good. The pitas were charred just the right amount with a little bit of spice sprinkled on top. Service was friendly... read more
Nick the Greek is an excellent Greek quick restaurant. Food is delivered quickly but calling them fast-food doesn't fit with the quality. Nick, and the staff, work hard to provide you with a quality product as they experienced in Greece. We had a Chicken plate. Flavors were excellent. The plate came with a nice sized salad. On top of that we had a full side Greek salad. All flavors pleased our taste. If you are in the mood for a casual Greek place give Nick a try.
I popped in starving hungry and ordered the chicken gyro bowl. It came out quick and was a LOT of food. Great flavor and two meals worth! The team was young but seemed content to be there. Cashier was kind and the staff kept themselves busy cleaning when there were no customers ordering. I will certainly pop in again.
Tried it tonight. Easy to order, easy to pick up, and worth the price. We got a gyro plate (lamb/beef), and chicken gyro. Two side Greek salads. Really good, fresh food. The only change I'd make is we will get a side of pita bread next time. My hubby made little Greek sliders out of his meat and pita bread, but there was more meat than bread. Highly recommend!
Just got this DoorDashed and it was fantastic! We love Greece and go every year. It's very difficult to match the quality and taste of the Mykonos gyros but this place does a good job. We ordered the chicken souvlaki and a chicken gyro. My wife scarfed it down like it was her last meal haha I hope she doesn't read this. Greek salad was good and the baklava was delightful. We're actually still fighting over the last few bites. Highly recommend! So glad they're in town!
It's hard for me to review a Greek restaurant since I'm Greek. I had the chicken souvlaki plate with fries. The chicken was nicely flavored although perhaps a bit under seasoned for my taste, fries were good, and the salad was nice. The pita was just ok...a bit soft for me. However, why put a bunch of raw red onions and raw tomatoes on the plate? That was very strange to me. Tomatoes should be roasted like the Greeks do. And no raw red onions. I'm generously giving four stars because I know it's Americanized. A ... read more
