Average Greek food no different than Zankou coven but just with WAY BETTER SERVICE and decent prices cut the amount of food served.
Greek salad, Gyro bowl, tea, lemonade. Very good salads, perfect for a hot day. Small place, casual, friendly. A lot of to-go business but clean comfortable tables for us. Lots to read about Greek words ads to the fun.
Stopped by at lunchtime and ordered 2 lamb gyro sandwiches to go, one with cooked onions. (They usually don't cook them but the server obliged.) Service was fast and friendly. The place, though small, was clean and bright. I waited about 10 minutes for the sandwiches. It wasn't too long, because they had diners and orders being picked up. We enjoyed our savory and filling sandwiches. The bill was $27.44 (including tax).
First time trying Nick the Greek on Lankershim and whew... it's fire! We had the beef and lamb gyro combo with fries and a drink, plus an extra side of tzatziki because I absolutely love tzatziki. I noticed they have Greek fries topped with feta, tzatziki, and a bunch of other good stuff. They looked amazing, so that's definitely on my list for next time. Not what I thought it would be. The chicken souvlaki lacked flavor it was ok but something missing. The good thing I liked was the French fries very flavorful and not too much salt or oil. The lamb was okay but could have been better. For the price I thought it would taste more authentic like Greek food or Mediterranean.
I love the lamb gyro the service is excellent and it's a great takeout! It's right around the corner so I eat it often and enjoy it every time
Ordered delivery and everything was on point. Got a couple pork gyro combos, a lamb beef gyro combo, side salad, Nick's fries with extra gyro meat, hummus, and extra tzatziki. Everything was packed separately and neatly, which I appreciated. A few minutes into eating everyone just went quiet, always a good sign. Food was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. Glad to have found a solid Greek spot nearby, definitely ordering again soon.
Love this place. So glad they opened one in NOHO. Cant go wrong with anything that has the shredded chicken
Decided to try this new restaurant and we're glad we did. Food was fresh and delicious. Service was fast, helpful, and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. Overall this is becoming a very busy restaurant as I saw many customers stopping by for take out and eating in.
