So we've eaten here a number of times and always enjoyed the food but unfortunately I guess our luck ran out. I even said to my girlfriend the gyro didn't taste as good as usual. Little did I know! About 4 am I woke up super nauseous and had diarrhea the rest of the day. 5 days later I'm still not fully recovered and the thought of ever eating another gyro makes me sick which is sad since I love shawarma. We've only had takeout but the place seems clean and the staff is nice but you'll need to decide if it's worth the risk. ... read more
Ordered a gyro via Doordash and it was cold and there was a piece of bone in it ... what a turn off, ick.
Finally came in to try this place and was so disappointed. Salad and greek fries that were recommended to me tasted pretty mediocre. The pita wrap was better than everything else. The server/cashier was very friendly which i appreciated! But the open layout they had wasn't the best because there was flies everywhere which made the whole experience unenjoyable. Probably best to get takeout.
Vegans beware. Falafel and Mediterranean style food are a common go to for us plant-based, but this is an exception. Very few plant based options, lots of sauces that contain dairy/yogurt but not alternatives. Normally I love tahini or garlic sauce with my falafel but they didn't offer that, only hummus at an additional cost. I haven't been to Nick the Greek since it started in NorCal but it sure hasn't gotten any better after expanding. Nothing on the menu is truely vegan so this is an easy avoid and I'll spend my money at ... read more
So I'm a frequent customer here, and have been coming here since their grand opening last year in Belmont Shores. Food and service is always top notch, but what really disappointed me today was that I couldn't get a simple cup of water to drink with my meal. The manager behind the counter told me that the water is free of course, but you need to buy a paper cup for $2.50...Really? So would I go back? Yes I would...but I guess I'll be bringing my own cup for water from now on.
Beef and lamb gyro was okay but the fries were super greasy soggy couldn't even eat them 18$ is steep for this food
This place is the definition of mid. Paid $20 for a gyro plate. Meat was dry & had clearly been sitting out for a while. Portion was about half the size of other comparable places. They got the sauce order wrong. Will only go here out of convenience
Overpriced. Food is not great for the price. I'm a local and could not bring myself to go back. Ever. Try the HALAL place nearby! So good!!!
I'm sorry I just wasn't a fan. I got the chicken like the Halal one and I thought it would be like George's Greek down the street where it's shaved me. But it was a bunch of dark meat with fat pieces. It tasted like Halal didn't taste like Greek food at all
