I've given this place a few tries now and it's a solid Greek fast food place in Santa Cruz. I've had the beef/lamb mix gyro, the Greek fries, and the loukoumades. The beef/lamb mix gyro is good, especially the pita bread. It is soft and yummy. The beef can be a bit salty sometimes, but I think the pita bread and the tzatziki sauce balances it out well. My daughter took my son and I here for the 1st time today. THE BEST GYROS I HAVE EVER HAD!! My daughter is vegetarian so she got the falafel and loved it. So happy she took us here on our visit to Santa Cruz!! Will DEFINITELY come here again!! YUM!!!
My friends that live in San Jose rave about this place, and the location near their home. While we were in Santa Cruz, we decided to check this one out and I was pleasantly surprised! I've never had a gyro (I usually get a plate) before but my friend suggested I try it since they have a chicken option and don't use traditional Taztiki sauce. I'm glad she recommended it, the gyro was really good and the sauce they use is more like honey mustard. The seasoning on their fries is also really good!
I went here with some family members for a dinner. We had a great time here, enjoyed the food, and portions. I ordered a chicken kabob bowl and a wrap. Both were tasty and had tons of flavors. I enjoyed the fried pita that came with the bowl. I left a very happy customer and so did my guests. Nick the Greek is great!
I ordered through DoorDash ahead of time for my lunch and it arrived on time and the food was so tasty! I've been happy with everything I've ever ordered from Nick the Greek
The falafels and tiziki sauce is so good. I can't even put into words the euphoric nature of happiness I was in as I was eating this in my rented studio apartment. They do it right. I wish there was a Nick the Greek in LA. Please branch out here and take my wallet.
It's my fav in this side of the Summit! I love the grilled chicken gyro and the way they always put a couple of french fries in the roll! The sauce is tasty and the service is quick.
FKN AMAZING! Seriously this place has me hooked I tried for the first time during quarantine and I've gone at least 15 times after if your scared to try it just do it! You won't regret it
Will definitely come back for more! The sandwiches are amazing! So much meat and vegetables! And full of flavorful sauce! And their Greek yogurt with baklava and honey is to die for! I would eat there every day if it wasn't so far of a drive from us.
