The pita and hummus was good. The pita was 8 small pieces for $7..95 The ambiance is casual. The service was fast .

Crossed an item off the bucket list and attended the grand opening of Nick the Greek's San Mateo location! I pulled up with some friends around 12PM, where we then stood in line for the next two hours. Something great about Nick the Greek is that they give away free food on their opening day. On the other hand, this leads to long lines, but I'd say it's worth it, no? Went to the grand opening today, along with a long line of others to take up their generous offer of free lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful despite the long line of others. Food was fresh and delicious. This is a very welcome addition to downtown San Mateo and I will definitely be going back!

Great new location in the heart of Downtown San Mateo! They're currently in soft opening with their grand opening day on Friday 6/21. Both owners and staff were super friendly. The food came out quick and were tasty! My go-to are the Nick's fries and gyro salad. Also, definitely get the froyos!
