Get directionsFood was very good and well priced. It os well located and easy to access. Definitely recommended!
Got a bowl and a pita wrap for take out and they were both great! I think this is as good as it gets for a chain restaurant. The location is centrally located in downtown and spacious inside with a ton of seating. The staff seem really nice too.
You know great food when you have it... and the food in this place is absolutely delicious! I've had Greek food in super high end places and I can tell you hands down, this Nick the Greek is my favorite. The meat is juicy, super tasty, the portions very generous and all the ingredients are so fresh! You really get a sense that the owners put their soul into it. Oh and the service is also exceptional! Would highly recommend.
I have been to many Nick the Greeks ground the bay area and (for the first time) when I came to this one and ordered 3 meals, i asked for extra taziki sauce. They wanted to charge me for this. I spent 40 dollars and you still want to charge me for extra yogurt sauce. Absolute dime pickers (who ever owns this franchise) Unless you LOVE to get nickeled and dimed, I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO COME HERE. This place is a joke!
I came here for a late night snack! I was expecting it to by like Souvla and it was quite far off. The yogurt itself was ok but I think it needed to be a lot tarter. The baklava was really disappointing. It tasted like really gummy stevia maple syrup, it was not crispy, and there were zero nuts in it. Pretty disappointed and will not be back for the frozen yogurt.
Located right in the heart of San Mateo. You order and pay at the register before getting your food. The staff was friendly and the food came out pretty fast. The lady who worked the register brought our food over to us. FOOD: Chicken gyro bowl & beef/lamb gyro plate are both really filling! The main difference between the bowl and plate is the pita bread and size of the salad. With the plate, you can choose between rice or fries. Everything tasted pretty fresh as well. It's also super clean in there too! I
Came by to visit the fam for the holidays in San Mateo. Downtown has changed a lot since we lived here years ago. Came by to Nick and love their wraps. Also bought their dinner bowl and it was fantastic. Place is big with plenty of dining area., and ambiance was very nice too, feels lively. Service was excellent and pretty quick. Metered parking available at front or at the public parking downtown area. Cheers!
We used to go to the location in Redwood City because that was the only one. Now? Damn if there isn't one in every city ... they seem to be exploding everywhere! This is one of my all time favs and we got a few things to go from this place close to our condo. Their veggie wrap slaps, you might not think that veggies could be so tasty but ask them for extra tzatziki in it plus the French fries they stuff in there and you're set. Their Greek fries with the feta and their version of frozen yogurt is bomb. Healthy and decadent. ... read more
Finally got around to trying this. It was nice and fresh, apart from the sauce it didn't really have a whole lot of taste, that I thought it would.
