The food here is phenomenal. I loved the food so much that while I was on vacation it was my go to when ordering takeout. I really recommend this place.
On my first visit I got a Greek salad. Big portion with chunks of cucumber, tomatoes and not an overpowering amount of red onion. The feta cheese is a triangle chunk on top, so you have to cut it up yourself if you like it to be throughout the salad. I got the dressing on the side and it was bland, mostly oil so I didn't use it. I don't think the salad needs it though because there's enough moisture from the tomatoes. This place is amazing! I hear this place is from California and new too Arizona. Had a lamb/beef gyro and a chicken souvlaki plate with rice. The portions are huge and definitely filling. The food was out quick considering how busy the place was. Definitely a must try . I will be back too try one of the salads.
So great to have a great greek option in DT Phoenix. The CA concept finally opened here in AZ!! Food is quick, yet tasty!!!
Today we tried this location. The food was good. The service was good and the girl working the front counter was nice but this is located in downtown Phoenix. There are quite a few homeless people downtown. While we were inside eating, 3 different homeless people came inside and used the soda/ice machine. They touched items around the area. The food was average at best. I ordered a side of falafel-it was overcooked and served with no sauce. My partner had a Greek salad with a side of gyro meat. The meat was sliced so thinly it was dried out. The restroom (which required a code to enter) had no soap to wash hands. I've been to other Nick's and had far more satisfactory experiences.
It took 55 minutes for a simple take out lunch order for three people. The food is good but I won't be back.
Beware! Not enough meat in chicken gyros that has french fries in it. Tahini crunch salad was good size sauces on side half filled. Service good. Ambiance was clean. Was hard to park in area will not return. Friends and family must be bringing reviews up
First and last time I will visit! The food was subpar at best. The fries needed to cook longer, they desperately needed salt as did thee rest of the meal. And what they charge-crazy for the lack of food quality. Some of my chicken was not cooked evenly and the way it was cut made it difficult to eat. The honey mustard was more like mayo than any kind of mustard. Definitely do not need to eat there again.
