Hands down the best food! We lived in San Jose for 20 years and always went to Nick the Greek!! So happy to see in Riverbank now! Absolutely amazing food, fresh and awesome! You HAVE TO TRY THIS!! My fave is the chicken gyro but honestly everything is good! Will be a frequent happy customer!
Excellent customer service. Delicious food. Came here on opening day. Staff is very well prepared and trained. Ordered enough meals for a family of 6. Food was ready in less than 10 minutes, and they were very busy. Everything was great. Will be back.
Excellent food (had the beef/lamb gyro, beefteki gyro, chicken skewers, greek fries,) excellent service, beautiful new restaurant, and they were rocking the grand opening properly. As a Bay Area transplant I've definitely missed the convenience of having Nick the Greek close by. Thank you very much for opening one this side of the valley. Kales doulies!
Came here today for the grand opening and to be honest, free food! I would have been happy to pay for it! I had the Souvlaki Chicken Plate with rice instead of fries. I ate it all except for some of the rice and it was fabulous!! They were also handing out samples of the Frozen Greek Yogurt and it was very good too!! The chicken was moist and the tzatziki sauce was perfectly balanced and not too much dill and not too sour. It was perfect!! Nice people running the place too! I highly recommend!
They opened today. The best, freshest food I've had in a long time. The beef/lamb gyro and garlic fries, I'm telling you. Absolute fire.
The portions received today were very skimpy, its the first time we had this happen and its very upsetting. We paid $45 for 3 meals, its very disappointing
Usually, this is one of my favorite restaurants. I ordered a chicken gyro bowl today , and on my second bite I felt something hard in my chicken. When I pulled the piece out of my mouth , it was a chicken claw. I am beyond horrified . The front counter staff were very kind , apologized, and they did refund my husband. I just don't think I will ever go back there again.
Been here a few times, and each time it got worse. Recently, I went straight to the bathroom to wash my hands..no soap. I'm like ok came back ordered, told the lady I did not want rice in my souvlaki plate but an extra chicken skewer and sub rice with salad. Everything was fine. She said ok. Then after we paid a few seconds later she comes back and says they do not have anymore chicken. We came around lunch time which is peak time and their main ingredient is out?! Horrible quality and high prices. Great service. Cashier was friendly and door ready relatively quick, but gyros was not what I recognize as a gyro. It was more like a deconstructed salad with gyro meat and no Taziki. The baklava was messy and tasted stale and paying over $100 for four people on to go food is ridiculous. We won't be back. I'll keep money local and go back to Super Gyro on McHenry.
