The food is good, the lamb was a bit salty. I ordered a baklava and when he gave us our food, he forgot it so I reminded him. Then he said he'd be right back with it and never came back. After we were done eating I went back up to ask for it and he handed me one from a stack they had behind the counter. It was already packaged and everything I don't understand what was so hard about grabbing one and handing it to me.

Hannah I appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. I am so sorry we did not meet your expectations. Management is aware of this and is working with out team to ensure this does not happen again. We hope you can give us another chance to make this right. - Nick T.
I didn't try that many things when I went here but I didn't like anything I had. I went with my father and he also didn't enjoy the food. We are Syrian so there are gonna be some differences in preferences in the same foods but we just didn't like what we had. An example of that is the falafel. I don't like falafel but don't dislike it, it just doesn't appeal to me but I am able to tell if one is made well because I've had many good ones. My father loves falafels and both of us didn't enjoy them. It is very important I say... read more
Just had our first pita sandwiches....my chicken pita was good but it had several pieces of cartilage which was very undesirable and inedible. I have mixed feelings because the moist chicken pieces were oozing out of the sandwich with a tasty tziki sauce (substitute) with crunchy lettuce and tomatoes. I liked the sandwich if it wasn't for the several pieces of cartilage. My husband had the beef/lamb gyro which he found a bit on the salty side.

Doreen, thank you for the feedback. We take quality very serious and I will speak to my kitchen staff about this. I hope you can give us a second chance as I know we will not disappoint.
I ordered from Nick the Greek before; I usually order the beef and lamb gyro, so I ordered it again. I think they rose the price a couple bucks, but don't let that discourage you from trying it. Their gyros are worth every penny. I'm getting hungry just writing this review. That's how good they are.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We appreciate you taking time out of your day to let us know how we are doing. Looking forward to seeing you in the future.
I will say this is the first location that I've come across that offered pork belly. The downside was that the gyro had too much tzatziki, so it overshadowed everything else. Other than that, it's a pretty standard Nick the Greek as with other locations. Good-size servings, pretty good service, and excellent location right downtown.

I've always passed by a Nick the Greek and have never stopped in and now I'm wondering why I only discovered how good they are now! I came in for lunch on a weekday with my friend. There was a lot of available seating and a short line. I was happy to see a lot of available seating inside and outside (there are umbrellas outside too). I could not decide between two dishes but the cashier (who was also Greek) helped me decide quickly. My friend ordered the Falafel Bowl (gluten-free) and I ordered the Veggie Pita. My friend an... read more

Nick the Greek is one of my go-to's, but there have been a handful of times where my stomach did not feel good afterwards. And oftentimes there pita is so stale (and burnt maybe intentionally to hide it?). On the good side, I love the: * Outdoor seating and general availability of seating is awesome * The gyros, french fries, the ice cream (yum!)

Hello, I'm terribly sorry to hear about your experience. I have recently taken over this location and have spoken with our kitchen staff and I have expressed to them that your experience is unacceptable. Thank you very much for your feedback as it is essential to our development and regrowth of Nick The Greek San Carlos. Again, we hope you can give us another try in the near future. Thank you for the feedback, Nick T
first time trying this place in san carlos and was pleasantly surprised. confused by the couner order but at least got their latest menu, not the one i saw online which was outdated with prices and combinations. got the gyros plate (lamb/beef) and chose the Greek fries.. You HAVE TO get the Greek fries.... if ever you tried the garlic fries at the ballpark (for an arm and a leg $$$$) you'll love these great tasting affordable fries!!!! the gyros meat was a little on the dry side cuz i guess business isn't as good as b... read more

This is a must try in the San Carlos area! I visited a few months back and was pretty disappointed considering I've had such great experiences at other locations. I decided to give it another try and I'm so glad I did. Turns out this location is under new management and undergoing a face lift. So far they have already exceeded my expectations! I was greeted with a warm welcome and was checked in on half way through my meal. Now to more important things- the food! I ordered the chicken souvlaki plate with the Nick the Gree... read more
