I love Greek Food. I have ordered multiple times from Nick and when the food is fresh and cooked properly- it is awesome. The problem with "Nick the Greek" is they are inconsistent. They don't seem to have quality control. I never know if I'm going to get a chicken pita with freshly cooked chicken and plump warm fries, or if I'm going to get fries that are overcooked, shriveled up and cold. Nick the Greek is a fast growing chain that started in California. The food looked great, but my main issue is quality control. Both the pork souvlaki and chicken souvlaki were dry, one skewer of chicken souvlaki was bitter and burnt and should have being tossed instead of serving to customers. The gyro meat was more juicy and tasted better than the souvlaki. Fries were also dry and tasted like it was fried a while ago and kept under the heat lamp for too long. The service- We had gone to the restaurant opening, and had been really impressed with the food and service. Fast forward a few months, we went in on weekday afternoon recently, and only one table was full. We walked up to the counter to a young man just standing there, and he didn't say anything (Bryan). I went to try out this restaurant on Friday April 26th because it was the 4TH Anniversary of my son's death. My friend who took me there .
