Food OUTSTANDING!!! Service IMPECCABLE! Ambience WONDERFUL with clean spacious outside seating. Used OrderExperience to order on my phone and earn points. Let cashier know I'd like to dine in, brought it to my table with extra napkins and asked if I'd like the umbrella moved. Essentially ChickFila level of service. Thanks Nick The Greek for having this Santa Barbara location!

I always thought Nick the Greek might just be the best Greek food in Santa Barbara--but I'm still not sure if that says more about Nick the Greek or the state of Greek food in SB. Either way, it delivers (literally and figuratively). I can only speak to delivery, but the food consistently arrives warm and delicious. This was our first time at Nick The Greek and it was a great first experience. The ambiance was great as staff was friendly, music was playing in the background, and restaurant was pretty full of chatting customers. The staff was helpful and friendly - even recommended a few options as it was our first time. The food itself was great! We had plates of the beef/lamb gyros and an order of Nicks Fries. If I were to change anything, I'd order another sauce on the side for the fries. Would come back.

this is a good spot to go to if you're looking for something quick. I ordered their kid's plate with beef gyro and while it was delicious, I found it to be on the salty side. the service was excellent and our food came out really quickly.

I ordered the beef gyro and was disappointed in what I received. The flavor was lacking, and the 5 fries in my gyro were cold and unseasoned. My friend ordered the Greek fries which were fresh and seasoned so I wonder what went wrong with my order.

Here's the deal. As a Greek who grew up in the US, and who has eaten INNUMERABLE souvlak/gyros throughout the years around Athens and elsewhere in Greece. There is no true Greek gyros pita commercially available in the US. Gyros is not compressed ground meat, it is slabs of slow roasted whole meat. The closest you will get is shawarma, an inferior sandwich by taste, but which I nonetheless recommend over any sandwich widely available here, other than a decent souvlaki. So back to Nick's. I'm between a 3 and a 4 on this spot as they have good days and bad. Sometimes the flavoring is right on point and other times I feel all I am eating is salty onions. Other times the meat is made to perfection and then there are times it is grease ridden. The servings are pretty decent as the bowl has some delicious rice and a protein of choice.
