Nick the Greek has been my new favorite restaurant since they opened. I've been to both the Walnut Creek and San Francisco locations and enjoy the food and service at both. Favorites are the perfectly toasted pita, the divine Greek salad (esp the dressing and blocks of feta cheese), the beef/lamb gyros, and the hummus with just the right amount of spice and olive oil. Excellent gyros. Best around. Ordered online and picked up hot 10 minutes later. We will definitely go there again.
This is a dependable place for fast, tasty Greek food. The rice is lemony, and the hummus is, too, and it doesn't have the bean-y flavor some kinds of hummus have. The Greek salad is a big portion, and the chunks of veggies always seem fresh (no mushy tomatoes). It's even better w/ extra olives and feta. The falafel is tasty and has a nice texture. The avgolemono soup is pretty good, not as great as some others I've had, but very decent, and I love when places have a soup option on the menu. Don't know about the meaty stuff ... read more
Good was delicious and very flavorful and well seasoned I would definitely the gyro plate! The portions were huge
Ordered to go - they are fast so that was nice. Fries - okay flavor but mushy and expensive Falafel Pita Wrap - good when you add All the extras Greek salad - a bit boring and flavorless compared to others, tomatoes tasted like nothing Overall decent but not on my list of go-to's
We came here on Monday after I was craving Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern food. I should state that I tried 3 different more authentic mom and pop type places, but alas they were all closed on Mondays. We got a gyro salad, a falafel salad and a baklava. They were ok. I'm not sure if it was the flavoring or what, but it all tasted different than the place in the Veranda. Otherwise, plentiful parking and the folks working there were nice. Also lots of seating, but we chose to grab and go eat elsewhere.
We really liked their gyros and gyro bowls. Staff were very kind and friendly and we appreciated their service.
Food was decent but relatively generic. Not bad for a Greek fast food place. Service not so great. The person working at front had a very strange vibe and seemed borderline annoyed by customers.
Excellent food, fresh tasting and nice options. The only issue is there's not enough parking on weekend nights.
