I recently saw this place and tried it out. Loved their food. It was filling and yummy. The chicken gyro pita had good sauce inside with a good ratio of meat. Also I tried Souvlaki chicken plate and it was so tasty with a very good portion of meat. Tried their side of fries and it was okay. The dessert Baklava didn't hit the mark. My final verdict is five stars to both chicken gyro and chicken souvlaki plate.
Had the beef/lamb Gyro Plate. It was phenomenal. Also got a side order of Hummus/pita. Hummus was great, but the pita a little dried out. I prefer a soft pita. The service was good. It will definitely be a place I'll frequent often!
Absolutely five star all the way. I love this new location of Nick the Greek at Clayton. The service is always fast, the staff are very friendly and super helpful, and most importantly, the food here is always fresh, delicious and the quality is consistent. This is certainly my go-to location of Nick the Greek. The restaurant is located within the Clayton Valley Shopping Center (it's an outdoor plaza), so parking is super easy and plenty. Not only the food is delicious, Nick the Greek often provides promotion, discount deals... read more
My first time!! We got lunch togo I got the pork belly bowl, SIL got the falafel bowl, and hubby got chicken gyro. We all said what great flavor and seasoning. Plenty of food , very generous servings. I liked that there was a good amount of salad in the bowl. We will be back.
Tasty, filling, we like. Happened to see the storefront signage on my way back from Marsh Creek Road - this used to be an Italian restaurant if memory serves. Coincidentally, daughter wants to find Mediterranean for dinner - so we figure we'll try Nick the Greek. Daughter says she's tried this in Santa Cruz - so maybe it's a Greek chain I've not heard of. We order the Falafel, the Beef/Lamb Gyro, and Chicken Gyro pitas, as well as Greek Fries, Loukoumades, and Baklava. All of the pitas were delicious - large enough to ... read more
Very average. No hummus and dips. We ordered one lamb gyro, chicken shawarma plate and grilled veggies and ended up with 3 gyros. We won't go back
Having been to Greece a couple of times, I have long searched for a place that replicates the tasty street gyros of downtown Athens. I can say that Nick the Greek has come the closest, and I absolutely love them for it (seriously, just try the beef/ lamb gyro if you are unconvinced). Also, the staff was really friendly and actually went out of their way to ensure my short stay was a pleasant one. I will definitely be back!
It'll do in a pinch but I'd much rather get more authentic Greek/middle eastern food off Willow Pass for less $. $23 for one person is a lot for a counter take out place. Staff were nice, food was good but not my favorite Greek. It's like Greek Chipotle.
We finally ate here for their free lunch yesterday after so much anticipation!! When we saw the sign for Nick the Greek go up, we couldn't have been more excited for it. It's one of our favorite restaurants. And then, even better, they gave out free lunch yesterday for over 4 hours during the day! They did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the portions were hefty despite having to feed so many people! The staff I spoke with was friendly and patient. I am very much looking forward to eating there again and probably very... read more
