Yes !!!! Davis needs mor ee places like Nick the Greek. I hate this trying to make small town small business place attitude - rents too high here for mom and pops businesses. They close. I've looked into it myself and it takes a lot of money to open a restaurant down town. And with such small profit margins. this is an excellent example of the kinds of fast causal we should be welcoming to our city. They're the types of places that can afford to stay open! super late opening hours on this one! And tasty fresh food and op... read more
HAVE AGAIN: The Gyro Bowl with pork belly and extra tzatziki was pretty good, but I rather have the beef/lamb. BIG disappointment was getting home and discovering they did not put the sauce on the side for my second entree. NOT HAVE AGAIN: The Avgolemono (lemon) soup was not very lemony and pretty unremarkable.
I had the bowl with chicken. Great taste. I usually stick with the veggies but the meat was tasty. I liked the yogurt. Next time I'll ask for more.
Great chain. We were really excited for this to open in Davis. We first had it in Santa Cruz. The best thing is the beef/lamb combo plate. The meat is super tender and flavorful. The lemon ag soup didn't have enough lemon taste to it though. The yogurt with baklava is also really refreshing and yummy. Everything is pretty good, even the salads. We ended up eating this two days in a row the beignets weren't that good because it was a bit burnt. I think it was fried for a little too long.
First time trying nick the Greek , I went for the chicken gyro bowl . Comes with rice , salad tzatziki all the good stuff . I was fascinated with this place great food -Super nice staff.
I heard a lot of good things about this new place in the area. Came in for lunch and had a falafel pita wrap sandwich with Greek fries. Totally agree with the reviews food was delicious will be back for more
Nick the Greek was a great surprise for me I'm very picky when it comes to food . I had a beef n lamb pita with nicks fries and my husband had a pork souvlaki plate . Fries were crispy and my pita wrap was to die for . My husbands food looked so good I had to grab a byte of his plate . We loved the food so much we will be back with the whole family . Forgot to mention we only waited 8 minutes for our food . Nick the Greek is the spot to come if your on a short lunch break.
Great food , prices are fair had a Chicken souvlaki plate And I loved it . Definitely will be back
Stopped here for dinner with some friends. The environment was very friendly and the restricted staff was very warm and welcoming. The whole place was squeaky clean and was very nice to look around. I ordered the beef and lamb gyro with greek fries. I really liked the greek fries, which are regular fries with feta and green onions, which made the fries even better. The gyro was delicious, the meat was tender and flavorful, it was all delicious.
