Service was okay but the food was excellent! Recomend theclamb gyro and fries. Coming back soon.
I've eaten here three times this week and each time was better than the first time it just keeps on getting better. I grew up on Gyro's in Chicago and it's the real deal.
just visited Nick the Greek in Santa Maria and tried their pork gyro--absolutely delicious! The ambiance was great, and the staff was super efficient. I received my order within 15 minutes. Highly recommend!
This place was a long time coming. Visited them around 6pm on a Saturday. The place was empty. The young lady at the counter was pleasant. We ordered the beef & lamb gyro, the pork belly gyro bowl & the loukoumadas dessert to go. As we waited for our food ( it wasn't a long wait) I had a chance to look around. Obviously everything was brand new with fun & engaging decor but was disappointed to see that the tables hadn't been wiped down & the floors were dirty. I was expecting the Gyro to be super delicious like the one in Baker. It was good, but not as good as what I'm used to. Maybe it will get better after being open for longer.
First time here and have been wanting to try for a while. Facility is very clean looking and staff was nice. Not a long wait either but wont rush to come back. I got the beef/lamb gyro and made it a combo with regular fries and a drink. The fries were bad. Seemed like they had been on reheat or a warmer for a while and I came in at 12:45 pm. They were sofgy, limp and bland. The gyro wasnt bad but it wasnt anythjng to rave about either. So my overall review so far is its just meh. So sad, we need good places here in Santa Ma... read more
We love everything about Nick The Greek. The food is delicious and authentic Greek. For example, the avgolemono soup is a delicious combination of chicken soup with lemon. Very authentic. The souvlaki chicken or pork is cooked to perfection with great flavors. The gyro meat is sliced off rotating machines hot and good. The food is like a trip to Greece. Great Greek fast food, just what Santa Maria needed! The Baklava is excellent! polite and friendly staff.
Only giving it a 3 because I door dashed and usually DD gets your order wrong, which in this case they did slightly. I wanted chicken & I got the beef/lamb. The food itself was pretty good though! I think it would've tasted like a 4/5 or 5/5 had I eaten in house, so I look forward to trying it again ! The fries were a little hard and crunchy but everything else tasted fresh, flavorful, and well balanced :)
