Nick the Greek opened up recently and I wanted to give it a try! I'm really glad I did! I enjoyed my lamb gyro.

The food was pretty good but expensive. When I ordered my meal, since it came with pita, I assumed it would come with tzatziki or some other type of sauce. It did not, which left it to be a little my meal and pita to be a bit dry. I then had to pay to order sauce to add to my meal. Also, beverages are expensive. My total was a lot more money than I expected to spend, for a semi-fast food lunch. When ordering, I was having a bit of difficulty communicating with the order taker as there was a little bit of a language barrier.

I had a great time at Nick The Greek! Our cashier, Natalie, really took the time to explain the menu and Laila, who brought our food, grabbed us extra napkins and sauce. I really enjoyed the Chicken Gyro and the fries were amazing (also the music they were playing was great). Safe to say we will be visiting again.

Save your money. There are better places to get a gyro or a Greek salad near Lee's Summit or in the Kansas City metro area. The prices are high. I was asked if I wanted to add a protein to my salad and it cost me $5.00 to add chicken. The total bill for two was $36. The salad was nothing more than what I could find if I walked down the parking lot to the grocery store and made a salad from the salad bar. The gyro was small and plain. The fries were soggy. The building is nice and new. The atmosphere is like any other fast fo... read more

Service was fine, restaurant was clean. Food was bad. The chicken gyro is the only one that doesn't come with tzatziki sauce, and the "mustard sauce" was disgusting (weirdly sweet) and the gyro was soaked in it. The fries were bad, both as a side and in the gyro. They were unevenly cooked. I bit into one in my gyro that was completely hard/crunchy. As someone who lived in New York and ate authentic Greek food, this was not close on any level. It was also extremely overpriced. Avoid it. One star for the tip joke (how to you s... read more

Simply put, just not worth it. The time it took to get my food was so long. My wife was able to get food next door and finish it before I was able to get my food. Granted it was lunch time on a Saturday but 4 orders (two people just sat waiting) did not seem to justify how slow it was. The cashier was very nice, I believe his name was Elias, he is the only positive in my experience since he was nice, polite, worked quick. The food I ordered was a falafel and a lamb plate. The falafel was so crispy, some bites tasted burnt.... read more

WAYYYYY OVERPRICED!!! Tzatziki sauce isn't a true tzatziki sauce (no cucumbers or tomatoes, just a weird cream sauce of some kind). Who puts French Fries in a gyro? With a couple hours, we were both very sick. We will NEVER go back.
