It's the only place I can go to get my speciality meats. I've been going there for over 10 years. Great meat selection. My only desire is that it be remodeled to be more modern.... but then the cost of everything would go up. Right now it's like a quaint small town grocery store, not really a bad thing depending on how you feel about old family style grocery stores. All in all, it's irreplaceable for good meat.
Oh my gosh, this store is absolutely amazing. They have so much diversity from any grocery store I think I have ever been in. From a huge meat department with everything from regular hamburger to Wagyu steaks, everything in between and more. The bakery is fantastic with cakes, pies and things. They even make their own pizzas. We found items I haven't seen in years including a huge Jelly Belly dispensary with all “The Original Gourmet Jelly Beans”. Older neighborhood grocery store, well stocked w/ premium products at reasonable prices. Clean. Parking lot can get busy @ peak hours. Surprisingly large inside, several vendor kiosks (sections?), and attentive, well laid out butcher section. Bought a Terry's Pizza while there, yum!
Great selection, super nice folks, Terry's Pizza in the back, Boars Head in the deli, home made puddings, ice cream bar, and roasted chicken.
I just moved to the area so I went to star market cause it is local to me. The store seemed ok the prices are alot higher then other stores in the area. The meat in meat case looked all dried out.. I bought some smoked chicken and it was discusting it was all dry inside and tasted like it was cooked in pinesol. For my first experience in this store to be this. I will never go there again. Local or not
