Everything we have eaten here has been really good. Came here for a fish fry for an out of town. It was a tempura beer battered. Nice, light, crispy. It was perfectly done. I will definitely be back for this. Also ordered the Italian beef, which is on top 10 in Buffalo as well as the fish fry.Not a super large sandwich, but definitely enough and very tasty.
I have been to Lakeshore Cafe numerous times and I can say I have never had a bad meal. Their menu is well-rounded and they always have great specials. This time I got the halibut tacos and I was so excited to see halibut on a menu in WNY. As an Alaskan living in WNY it made me feel at home and boy was it delicious!!! I love the staff as well. They are so friendly, attentive and down to earth.
The people leaving negative reviews must be either just plain miserable or professional cry babies. My family and I eat here at least once a week. We’ve come during peak as well as slow times, and always had great service and food. Having lived in Chicago for a decade, I can say the Italian Beef is better at Lakeshore than popular places in Chicago that are known for it. We just ate there and I had to write a review. The food is amazing! We tried the pretzel and it was fresh and really good.
I came in with a friend to try a fish fry for dinner after hearing all over that this place does them best. They weren't kidding. I got a fish fry and it was fantastic. My friend doesn't like fish, so she tried their French onion soup as an appetizer, and street tacos for her meal. She said they were both incredible, and that was the best food shes ever had.
